In this panel, directors, cinematographers and editors will share critical tips to optimize your performance on set and give you the best chance of remaining in the final cut. These industry professionals will provide insight on the do’s and don’ts, process and elements that determine the final product on screen.

BALANCING ONE OF LIFE’S MOST CHALLENGING ROLES: PARENTING AND CAREGIVING

A panel of successful performers will discuss the unique challenges for working actors who are raising families or caregiving for someone in need. Topics will include childcare resources on set, how to manage schedules and auditions and ways to balance one’s career with their role as a caregiver. A financial advisor from the credit union will also discuss what resources the credit union has for college funds, home health, care resources and more…

STANDING UP FOR STAND-INS

On every set, every day, stand-ins known as the "second team" are rehearsing, helping the crew prepare lighting and covering for an actor so that camera and lighting crews can finalize their movement and equipment settings. Learn from film and TV single-cam, TV multi-cam, game and awards show rehearsal actors/stand-ins what their jobs entail, the pros and cons, wages and misconceptions. We will also examine what casting agent’s looks for when hiring stand-ins and how assistant directors want stand-ins to hold themselves on set.

COMMERCIAL STARS, Part II

As performers adapt to entertainment industry changes a handful of actors have managed to maintain a regular work schedule through commercial performing. Take advantage of a rare opportunity to learn from recognizable commercial stars, a casting director and an agent.
