Welcome to the Atlanta Local, where Southern hospitality can be found as easily as sweet tea and delicious peaches. We invite you to explore these pages for all the great services and benefits available to you. We also hope you will get involved – see what you can do to strengthen your union and make it work for you.
Welcome to Atlanta, one of the top filming locations in the world. We were home to 399 productions in 2019 alone. And, with the most studio space on the East Coast, our members continue to work every production contract and in every performer category.
We are a local that cares. With seven standing committees and seven ad hoc committees, we are a large and diverse group of members who serve members. Giving back is who we are. Our conservatory, the Muriel Moore/Danny Nelson SAG-AFTRA Conservatory, has served over 8,700 attendees in its short seven years of existence — and it is free to members in good standing. In return, our members have contributed thousands of pounds of food to those in need. And, that’s just one of our outstanding programs. We are proud to serve our members and our community!
