Please join us for the first installment of our "Conversations" series, with guest speaker Lyman Chen. The goal of this series is to provide local membership the opportunity to sit one-on-one with prominent and/or influential local leaders within the industry to discuss various topics. This intimate setting will provide those in attendance the opportunity to interact and engage with the guest speaker, while discussing issues and experiences that could help navigate their careers. We look forward to a great conversation!
Please see below for Lyman's bio...
"I started in the business in my early 30s with no prior acting experience. My first work was as a background actor on the TV series, Hack and I spent over a year learning the way around a set working once a week. I spent a lot of time doing non-union industrials and commercials until joining the union in 2004 after booking a Campbell's Soup national commercial. My career had a huge shift when I booked Martin Scorsese's The Departed in 2005. The film premiered in 2006 and proceeded to win four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Martin Scorsese's only Oscar for Best Director. Since then, I have been able to enjoy working for the past 13 years on various television and film projects throughout the country. I was also inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2018."
