IMA Strike

The Video Game Awards are this Thursday and we need your help! SAG-AFTRA will be leafleting the awards to spread awareness about why we are on strike against video game employers. 

We will be meeting at 5 p.m.  in the Free Speech Zone located at Chick Hearn Court and South Figueroa Street. We will be handing out buttons and fliers to Game Awards attendees and members of the general public!

Please consider carpooling and/or ridesharing with friends and colleagues. Public transportation is also available, with a number of bus lines having stops in the area including Metro A and E line stops between W. Pico and W. 12th.

We encourage everyone who attends to wear your SAG-AFTRA on Strike or a SAG-AFTRA Strong shirt! Don’t have a Video Game Strike t-shirt? You can pick one up at SAG-AFTRA Plaza, 5757 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 130 on Tuesday - Wednesday, Dec. 10-11, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

We invite all performers who work the Interactive Media Agreement to join us for a strike update and mixer. Hear from the Interactive Media Agreement Negotiating Committee and lead negotiators about where we stand and stay afterwards for light refreshments. 

Not able to attend the information meeting? No problem, you’re still welcome to attend the mixer.

SAG-AFTRA’s strike against video game employers went into effect on Friday, July 26. Please show your support by joining video game performers as they picket at Formosa Interactive LLC.

Remember to bring water, sun protection and your SAG-AFTRA gear! Members, friends, family and allies are welcome, but please leave your furry friends at home as it will be hot and potentially unsafe for them. If you are not feeling well, please stay home -- there will be plenty of other opportunities to show your support.

No registration needed. Please bring your SAG-AFTRA member ID card or digital card on the SAG-AFTRA app to check in when you arrive.
