Stop waiting for your next audition, and create your own low budget union film. This six-week course is here to help you learn the in’s and out’s of making your own two-to-three-minute short. Each session will be presented by members of the local independent film community, Monday nights promptly from 6-9 p.m. Here's a preview of the six-week intensive:
Week 1: Scriptwriting, Fundraising, and Budgeting (Sept. 23)
Susan Hubbard from The Graham School Writer's Studio will lead the discussion on script writing.
Week 2: Film Equipment/Gear & Director How-To (Sept. 30)
Week 3: Legal & Contracts (Oct. 7)
Week 4: Hiring Cast & Crew (Oct. 14)
Week 5: Production Week: You should be filming! (Oct. 21)
Week 6: Editing & Post-Production (October 28)
In order to participate, mandatory attendance is required for each session in addition to completing all homework assignments given. Participants will sign a Short Project Agreement (don’t worry-it’s covered in the class!) as everyone will complete the course with a finished short film.
