The tremendous social and cultural impact of contributions from immigrant artists often goes overlooked in American society. The focus is limited to the content and aesthetics of the artists’ works, but rarely do we talk about immigrant artists in a labor context. In 2019, however, it’s more important than ever to highlight all aspects of the immigrant artists’ impact in our industries and our society.

In celebration of Immigrant Heritage Week, Local 802 AFM and SAG-AFTRA NY cordially invite you to:

Our Stories: Union Immigrant Actors and Musicians in New York

Moderated by Rewire.news "The Breach" journalist, Lindsay Beyerstein, our immigrant panelists discuss how they’ve embraced their identities in their artwork to tell their stories, influence change, and break down barriers.
