SAG-AFTRA Midwest locals will be conducting wages and working conditions (W&W) meetings in preparation for the 2023 TV/Theatrical Contracts negotiations. These meetings are open to members of the following locals: Chicago, Ohio-Pittsburgh, Michigan, Twin Cities and Missouri Valley.

This is your opportunity to recommend proposed changes to these contracts. 

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up* SAG-AFTRA members. Please check your email and sagaftra.org/2023ww for updates as additional wages and working conditions meetings are announced.

Midwest Locals Self-Taping Informational Meeting

You are invited to join a regional member informational meeting to discuss self-taped auditions. The SAG-AFTRA National Board has recently appointed a National Self-Tape Committee to explore and consider ways to improve the self-tape process. This topic has significant relevance to our actor/performer members and this is an opportunity to provide important feedback for the committee’s consideration. 

This meeting is open to all members in good standing from the following locals: Chicago, Ohio-Pittsburgh, Michigan, Missouri Valley and Twin Cities.

If you have comments, concerns or experiences to share, we encourage your participation.

SAG-AFTRA national constituency groups and locals across the country will be conducting wages and working conditions (W&W) meetings in the coming weeks in preparation for the TV/Theatrical Contracts negotiations. The TV/Theatrical Contracts expire June 30, 2023. Watch your email or visit sagaftra.org/2023ww for a current meeting schedule and plan to join us. Member participation is vital to this process.


This meeting is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members paid thru Oct. 31, 2022 or April 30, 2023, or in compliance with the November 2022 Dues Relief Extension. No guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.



Ohio-Pittsburgh Virtual Annual Membership Meeting

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA members for the 2022 Ohio-Pittsburgh Local Virtual Membership Meeting. While the method of meeting may be slightly different, the community feeling will be the same. Hope to see you there!

Annual Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade

Sep 05, 2022 - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM EDT

Where: PPG Arena parking lot

Join the SAG-AFTRA contingent as we march in the 2022 Labor Day parade in Pittsburgh. The annual tradition is back! This is the second-largest Labor Day parade in the country.

When: Sep. 5, 2022, 10 a.m. ET

Where: We will meet up in the PPG Arena parking lot. Look for our banner and a group wearing black SAG-AFTRA T-shirts. We will march the same parade route as most years past.

The route takes us from Centre to Grant to Boulevard of the Allies. (The review stand and parade finish are still in front of the Steelworkers Building.)

Please note that road closures near the parade route begin around 7:30 a.m. and will include Centre and Liberty Ave. You do not need to be at the lineup location this early; however, be aware of how to navigate to the lineup location. Please arrive by 10 a.m., as we will be marching shortly after.

SAG-AFTRA members, friends and family will march with our banner and vehicles.

Coffee, water and pastries will be provided. Also, members get a free SAG-AFTRA T-shirt! A limited number are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. If you already have one, please wear it.

A group photo with our banner will be taken before the parade begins.

Please note that there will NOT be a member picnic after the parade this year.

Please note that SAG-AFTRA will be taking photographs and videos at the event which might be used in our publications, social media, and to promote the union and its activities. Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up SAG-AFTRA members.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 31, 10 am - 1 pm PT/12 pm - 3 pm CT/1 pm - 4 pm ET

WHERE: The meeting will be held by Zoom. You must have a Zoom account that identifies you by name to participate.
