The recent TV/Theatrical strike was a long, hard-fought process. Over the 118 days on strike, you demonstrated perseverance and dedication to the struggles of the community. It is only through your solidarity efforts that we can stand proud of the ground-breaking provisions set forth in the new tentative agreement. Your hard work and commitment should be recognized. Join the SAG-AFTRA LA Conservatory for Audiobook Narration - A Basic Overview for Voice Actors with Josh Horowitz.

You've done voiceover spots... but how would you like to be the equivalent of a marathon runner by narrating audiobooks? Learn about the skills, equipment, creativity, and mindset needed for audiobook work, and discover resources for gaining experience and finding jobs as a long-form storyteller.

Please note this is a beginners introduction course.

Join the SAG-AFTRA LA Conservatory for Keys to Make Your Self-Tape Undeniable, taught by Loren E. Chadima.

Because good and great self-tapes DON'T book the job, this practical acting workshop will give you specific, repeatable and actionable techniques to make self tapes that are undeniable.  Learn keys to make sure your Self-Tape not only grabs but keeps casting's attention so you can book the room and the job.

Sign up now to join your fellow members, friends, and family for a Holiday Sing-Along through the streets of Honolulu. We will stop at Aloha Tower, the State Capitol, and Honolulu Zoo, and end at Honolulu Hale, singing merrily along the way.  

For our bakers out there, we will have a holiday cookie exchange during the excursion.  If you plan to exchange cookies, please have 12 individual bags or containers of treats for trading. 

Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Where: Meet at 201 Merchant Street for pick up (no later than 5:15 pm); our end time drop off is at Honolulu Hale at 7:30 pm.

A Seminar for the Creative Community in Chicago

You’re invited to attend an affordable housing workshop from the Entertainment Community Fund (@alifeinthearts). This FREE and informative workshop is designed for the performing arts and entertainment community. This workshop will help you better understand what constitutes affordable housing, how it works, and how to help you get prepared to search and apply.

Arts Workers often have episodic and fluctuating income from several sources, and this seminar will explore different methods to calculate and verify annual household income to help you put your best foot forward when applying.

Also discussed will be an overview of affordable housing programs, historical context for housing in Chicago, and housing opportunities currently in development.
