Please join us at a viewing party for the 30th Annual SAG Awards. This is a great opportunity to gather with fellow SAG-AFTRA members to celebrate excellence in film and television performances on Saturday, February 24.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Attire is creative casual to awards festive!

SAG-AFTRA members and a guest are invited. Cost is $10 for members and $20 for guests. Price includes food and beverages.

We are kicking off 2024 with our first Coffee Connection meeting in the Michigan Local. We are also changing things up a bit! This Coffee Connection will take place in the evening at the offices of Productions Plus where members will be working in in small groups on cold-read skills.  

This will be a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow members and also hone important skills for auditions. Space will be limited to the first 20 RSVPs so be sure to register right away.

You are invited to the NM Local live viewing party for the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. It’s a fun evening, so we hope to see you there! Be sure to share your experience and excitement about the SAG Awards in the New Mexico Local on social media using #sagawards.

The in-person SAG Awards viewing party is back and you're invited! Celebrate with your fellow members at the L.A. Local viewing party of the 30th Annual SAG Awards. 

Voted on by SAG-AFTRA’s robust and diverse membership of performers – the SAG Awards has the largest voting body on the awards circuit. Beloved for its style, simplicity, and genuine warmth, the show has become an industry favorite and one of awards season’s most prized honors since its debut in 1995. 

Appetizers and soft drinks will be provided during the social hour. Alcoholic beverages available for purchase at a no-host bar.

About Shaan Sharma:

Shaan Sharma is a working actor, acting educator, writer, and former casting session director. He is currently acting on the international hit TV show "The Chosen''. Founder of The Storytellers Conservatory, an on-camera acting studio (storytellersconservatory.com), Co-Founder of the fiction “Table Read Podcast,” guest lecturer for the University of Southern California, UCLA, Chapman University and an adjunct professor for PACE University’s School of Performing Arts. He has published over 50 advice articles for performers and is the author of the book and audiobook, Commercial Acting in LA: A Session Director’s Guide.

Join the San Diego Local for a casual monthly mixer. Members and guests are welcome. Show up and mingle with other local members and friends at the Studio Diner on the third Tuesday of the month (except holidays). Check the SAG-AFTRA website for any updates.

Unfortunately, volunteer shifts at the Oregon Food Bank, including ours, have been canceled for tomorrow, Saturday Jan. 13, due to inclement weather.

The Portland Local Board will work with the Oregon Food Bank to reschedule this volunteer event in the near future.

Thank you to all who volunteered, and we hope to see you on the date to be determined. Stay tuned for that announcement!
