Monthly on the 4th Wednesday

This class is taking place from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. for this week only. Class schedule will return to its regular time schedule on Wednesday, May 28.

Teacher: Aan Steele

The eyes are the mirror of the soul. On camera, the eyes show what is going on in the brain. This class will concentrate on delivery on camera. Please come prepared with a 2 minute monologue or scene. Actors will slate and record their monologue or scene. After playback, feedback will be given from the instructor and peers.

Via mainstream acting theories and techniques, proven exercises and improvisation, students are exposed to the stylish and technical demands of camera performance. With emphasis on the ensemble and exposure, today’s audition obligations, to understanding how multi-media training relates to a 21st century actor, we will explore, challenge, and apply the vernacular, etiquette, discipline, and nuance of acting, and note how the process of storytelling applies to the actor.

Who is NGP? The L.A. Local NextGen Performers (NGP) Committee consists of local SAG-AFTRA members who encourage young adult professional members to take control of their careers, get involved in the union, and build community. NGP engages with and facilitates the education of its demographic through social media, panels, meet-ups, community outreach, special events, and much more. Come talk to us at the mixer. Philadelphia Local Annual Membership Meeting

The meeting will include updates from Philadelphia Local elected leaders and staff and will end with an open Q&A. We welcome this year's guest speaker, Danny Bauder (President, AFL-CIO Philadelphia Council).

Nickelodeon Animation Wages & Working Conditions Meeting

Nickelodeon Animation Wages & Working Conditions Meeting

SAG-AFTRA will be conducting a Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) meeting in preparation for the negotiation of the 2025 SAG-AFTRA/Nickelodeon Animation Studios, Inc. Basic Cable Television Animation Agreement (“Nickelodeon Animation Agreement”).

Members who work the Nickelodeon Animation Agreement are encouraged to participate in this W&W process. The meeting is open to all paid-up SAG-AFTRA members.*

WHEN:

Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 10 a.m. - Noon PT/ 12 - 2 p.m. CT/ 1 - 3 p.m. ET

WHERE:

ZOOM (RSVP required below. You must be logged in to see the RSVP form.) You must complete the confidentiality agreement sent to you prior to joining the meeting. 

The Zoom link will be included with your registration reply. You must have a Zoom account that identifies you by name to participate.

If you cannot attend the W&W meeting, please make sure your voice is heard. You may submit proposal recommendations by email to nickanimation2025@sagaftra.org. Recommendations must be received by 5 pm Monday, April 14, 2025.
