About Robert and Michelle Colt
Robert and Michelle have invested years into personal and in-depth study of the principles and techniques of quantum psychology and have lived their lives immersed, for over a combined 50 years, in various forms of eastern philosophy. Their lives are not lived in theory, but in practical application and action. Robert attended Columbia University and Eckerd College, and is also an acting teacher and coach. Michelle attended Central Connecticut State, Butler University and a summer intensive at Yale University. Michelle currently teaches a workshop, How to Have the Courage to Let Your Inner Light Shine and Be Seen in LA and NYC.

This workshop is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing. Unfortunately, no guests allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome. Join SAG-AFTRA radio and television broadcasters from Southern California stations for a daylong event including panel discussions and reel* review. Learn from seasoned professionals about getting your first job, different career paths in the broadcast industry and feedback on your demo reel.

Audiobooks and Dubbing Workshop

This workshop will be presented by New York member Manuel “Manny” Herrera and will be conducted in English and Spanish.

There will be a half-hour break for which you are welcome to brown bag your snack/lunch or order your food to be delivered at the studios when you register at the workshop.

Manuel Herrera is a veteran producer/director and voiceover motivator with 39 years of experience and an increasingly influential person in the U.S. Spanish-language performing arts and publishing arenas. His voice has lent life to countless commercials, many running concurrently in several U.S. markets, and to Spanish SAP (Secondary Audio Program) tracks. Manuel now works at DuArt Media Services, producing Spanish Audiobooks for clients globally.

This event is open to SAG-AFTRA members in good standing (paid through April 30, 2018). There will be limited seating therefore, notice of cancellation is requested in the event you cannot attend. A waiting list will be kept.

A Conversation with Pablo Azar

The Dallas-Fort Worth Local welcomes international star Pablo Azar for an evening conversation and you are invited! Hector Garcia, Dallas-Ft. Worth National Board Member, will host the conversation on the changing dynamics in Spanish language media work, and in particular the success of SAG-AFTRA members in organizing Telemundo. 

Pablo Azar began his acting career in his native Mexico in 2001. Since then, he has participated in several projects for Hispanic television in Mexico, Colombia, and in the USA, for companies such as Telemundo, Venevision, TV Azteca, Televisa, Fox Latino, and most notably in the American market, in the TBS comedy Wrecked. In 2005, Pablo’s performance in the Telemundo Novela Second Chance made him internationally known and it led to more than 10 successful novelas with the company.

Besides on-camera acting, Pablo’s talent extends to dubbing, voice-overs, live theater, and as an international painter.  

Pablo became a SAG-AFTRA member in 2013. He is one of the leaders in the SAG-AFTRA campaign to unionize Telemundo and currently serves as chair of the Negotiations Committee. Additionally, he serves as a board member of the Miami Local.

Héctor García, miembro de la Junta Nacional de DFW, será el anfitrión de la conversación sobre la dinámica cambiante en el trabajo de los medios de comunicación en español.

Pablo Azar comenzó su carrera como actor en su México natal en el 2001. Desde entonces, ha participado en varios proyectos de televisión hispana en México, Colombia y Estados Unidos, para compañías como Telemundo, Venevision, TV Azteca, Televisa, Fox Latino, y más notablemente en el mercado estadounidense, en la comedia de TBS Wrecked. En 2005, la actuación de Pablo en la Novela de Telemundo Second Chance lo hizo internacionalmente conocido y lo condujo a más de 10 exitosas novelas con la compañía.

Además de la actuación en cámara, el talento de Pablo se extiende al doblaje, locución, teatro en vivo y pintor internacional.

Pablo se convirtió en miembro de SAG-AFTRA en el 2013. Es uno de los líderes en la campaña de SAG-AFTRA para sindicalizar Telemundo y actualmente se desempeña como presidente del Comité de Negociaciones. Además, es miembro de la junta Local de Miami.

Come learn about the new SAG-AFTRA Colorado Regional Commercials Code (CRCC) and how it’s making it easier and more affordable for local producers to cast you.

SAG-AFTRA presented the details of the CRCC to Colorado’s top agents and casting directors and they are on board and have your back. The evening will include a short presentation of the new code and its direct application to you, the performer, to be followed by an extensive Q&A where all your questions will be addressed. 

The event is open to SAG-AFTRA members, SAG-AFTRA eligible and pre-union performers. Please feel free to share this invitation with all the performers you know. All performers in the Colorado market regardless of union status are welcome!

Come for pizza and beverages, stay for the informational meeting and SAG-AFTRA swag.
