2022 Commercials Contracts Wages & Working Conditions Regional Meeting for San Diego

The SAG-AFTRA SAN DIEGO LOCAL ANNOUNCES THE 2022 COMMERCIALS CONTRACTS WAGES & WORKING CONDITIONS MEETING SCHEDULE FOR SAN DIEGO.

The SAG-AFTRA San Diego Local will be conducting Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) meetings in preparation for the 2022 SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract and 2022 SAG-AFTRA Audio Commercials Contract (“Commercials”) Negotiations. The Commercials Contracts expire March 31, 2022.

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up SAG-AFTRA members*.

The meeting date and time for this general W&W meeting is listed below. Please check your email and San Diego Local webpage for any additional meetings.

WHEN: Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:30 pm (PST)

WHERE: Meetings will be held by Zoom. You must have a Zoom account that identifies you by name to participate.

If you cannot attend a W&W meeting or caucus, please make sure your voice is heard. You may submit proposal recommendations by email at commercials2022@sagaftra.org. Recommendations must be received by Friday, December 3, 2021.

*W&W meetings are only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing (paid through October 31, 2021)  — no guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.

2021 Network Code Committee Reports & General W&W

SAG-AFTRA will be conducting a combination of national and local Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) meetings in preparation for the 2021 SAG-AFTRA Network Television Code (“Network Code”) Contract Negotiations. The Network Code is the agreement covering non-dramatic programs, daytime serials, variety, quiz, game, reality, talk, news, sports programs and promotional announcements and it expires on June 30, 2021.

In order for you to be as informed as possible when participating in this important process, SAG-AFTRA is hosting a presentation, The Landscape of the Network Code on March 3. Please join us to learn how the industry is changing and the impact those changes are having on our membership. This presentation will help you understand the current state of the industry under which SAG-AFTRA will be negotiating the Network Code. Check your local events page or email for specific subjects, dates and times.
