2022 Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA members at the annual Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade.
 
T-shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

35th Annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade and Family Celebration

Where: Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 Union Hall

A DAY FOR THE WORKING CLASS- Labor Day will be a day of commemoration and celebration co-sponsored by the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO and the Tri-State Labor Day Parade Committee.

When: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 5

  • 8:30 a.m.: Parade marchers gather at the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 Union Hall (1301 S. Columbus Blvd. and Washington Ave.)
  • 9:15 a.m.: Pre-parade kickoff rally
  • 10 a.m.: Parade march to Penn’s Landing Great Plaza (Columbus Blvd. and Market St.)
  • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Philadelphia AFL-CIO Family Celebration (food, refreshments, kids’ activities, make and take crafts, and live music)

Where: Sheet Metal Workers’ Local (gathering location)

2022 Labor Day March and Rally

On Monday, September 5, 2022 the Los Angeles/Long Beach Harbor Labor Coalition will celebrate with the 43rd Annual Labor Day March and Rally. Be a part of the SAG-AFTRA contingent as they march to honor labor’s victories and struggles. See details below.

Schedule of Events

8 a.m. - Marchers gather (Broad & E Street)

10 a.m. - March departs

Noon - Rally begins at Banning Park

Where: Meet at Broad & E Street, Wilmington, California (look for the SAG-AFTRA banner)
            Route: E Street, to Avalon, to M Street, ending at Banning Park 

After the march, please join the SAG-AFTRA team at Banning Park for speakers and music.

Annual Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade

Sep 05, 2022 - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM EDT

Where: PPG Arena parking lot

Join the SAG-AFTRA contingent as we march in the 2022 Labor Day parade in Pittsburgh. The annual tradition is back! This is the second-largest Labor Day parade in the country.

When: Sep. 5, 2022, 10 a.m. ET

Where: We will meet up in the PPG Arena parking lot. Look for our banner and a group wearing black SAG-AFTRA T-shirts. We will march the same parade route as most years past.

The route takes us from Centre to Grant to Boulevard of the Allies. (The review stand and parade finish are still in front of the Steelworkers Building.)

Please note that road closures near the parade route begin around 7:30 a.m. and will include Centre and Liberty Ave. You do not need to be at the lineup location this early; however, be aware of how to navigate to the lineup location. Please arrive by 10 a.m., as we will be marching shortly after.

SAG-AFTRA members, friends and family will march with our banner and vehicles.

Coffee, water and pastries will be provided. Also, members get a free SAG-AFTRA T-shirt! A limited number are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. If you already have one, please wear it.

A group photo with our banner will be taken before the parade begins.

Please note that there will NOT be a member picnic after the parade this year.

Where: Assemble on East 44th Street between 5th Ave. and Vanderbilt in Manhattan. Look for the SAG-AFTRA banner

Join SAG-AFTRA New York President Ezra Knight, Vice President Linda Powell and your fellow SAG-AFTRA New York Local members at the annual New York City Labor Day Parade and March. The theme of the parade is “Workers Leading, Workers Rising.” No one shows the world how New York leads the way like our members do in front of cameras and behind microphones. March up Fifth Avenue with your union to show your pride as a #sagaftramember.
 
T-shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Light refreshments will be available.

Now that the 2022 Commercials Contracts have been ratified, it’s time to focus on our Local’s 2022 Regional Commercials Code. This agreement is tailored specifically to meet the needs of our regional advertisers so they may easily hire local SAG-AFTRA performers. 

If you’ve worked under the Washington-Mid Atlantic Regional Commercials Code during the past five years, we encourage you to attend this meeting. It’s a great opportunity to make your voice heard and provide feedback as we review the current Regional Code provisions.

WHEN: Thursday, May 26, 2022 - 10-11:30AM

WHERE: Meetings will be held by Zoom. You must have a registered Zoom account that identifies you by name to participate.
