Please plan to join us for this year's Twin Cities Membership Meeting, happening virtually on Wednesday, December 13, from 6-8 p.m. 

 

In 2023 we welcomed our newest members as streaming & web producers and assignment desk editors at WCCO TV ratified their first union contract. We also managed to enlarge Minnesota’s Film Production Tax Incentive by five-fold. As films and TV show productions get back into action following the strikes we expect to see even more productions being done in Minnesota. 

 

We will be joined by Casting Director extraordinaire Lynn Blumenthal for a discussion about film & TV work, casting, and what Twin Cities members need to be doing to compete for this new work.

In order to help you have as much information as possible on the new 2023 TV/Theatrical Contracts prior to voting, the SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local will hold a TV/Theatrical Contracts informational in-person meeting with National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland and Chief Contracts Officer Ray Rodriguez on Sunday, November 19, 2023. 1- 4 p.m. For FAQs, a summary of the tentative agreement and voting information, visit sagaftra.org/contracts2023.

San Diego Local Membership Meeting and Year-End Celebration!

Please join your fellow SAG-AFTRA San Diego Local members for the San Diego Local Membership Meeting and Year-End Celebration!

Members will have the opportunity to learn about and ask questions of elected representatives and staff.  The event will kick off with the membership meeting, followed by the year-end celebration!  Dinner will be served and a cash bar will be open to members.

Join fellow SAG-AFTRA New Mexico Local members for this year's New Mexico Local membership meeting & holiday party.

Come out, meet your newly elected local leadership and hear about some of their plans for the coming year. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and get caught up on all things SAG-AFTRA New Mexico.

We are also fortunate to have a special guest with us this year: Amber Dodson, Director of the New Mexico Film Office, will be joining us for part of the meeting. Amber was previously the Film Liaison for the City of Albuquerque and prior to that worked in film and TV production, business development and marketing/advertising.

Learn more about the important role Amber and the film office play in the NM film & media industry. She will also be discussing how the state incentives work and how they do provide benefits (despite some misconceptions) to YOU as a performer and resident of New Mexico.

The meeting will be followed by the holiday mixer — an opportunity to meet and mingle with your fellow members. In the spirit of the season, we'll be collecting non-perishable food items to give to a local food/resource center that supports our fellow New Mexicans.

2023 Colorado Local Virtual Membership Meeting

Join your SAG-AFTRA union siblings for this year’s Colorado Membership Meeting. This event will take place virtually – which means –  if there’s a blizzard outside you can still attend and enjoy engaging with your fellow members from the comfort of your own home.

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get caught up on all things SAG-AFTRA Colorado. We also have a special guest this year: Veteran New Mexico casting director Marie McMaster, C.S.A. will be joining us for part of the meeting to talk about how casting has drastically changed post pandemic. During the meeting, we’ll also be filling vacancies on the Colorado Local Board. We will be accepting nominations to fill the following positions:

Secretary
Local Board Member (6 seats)
