Budgeting Nuts & Bolts (The Actors Fund)

When: Thursdays, 1 PM to 3:30 PM PT/ 3 PM to 5:30 PM CT / 4 PM to 6:30 PM ET

This single session monthly workshop focuses on helping you to start tracking your income and expenses in a way that makes sense for artists and creative professionals who don't always earn and spend the same way each month. In the class, which runs 2.5 hours, you will learn how to stop guessing and really get specific about the ways in which money moves in and out of your life.

Please note: This is a reoccurring event and will take place, online via zoo, on the first Thursday of every month except July.

Casting Access with Ryan Bernard Tymensky Remote Live (SAG-AFTRA Foundation)

When: 4 p.m., Thursday, April 16

This class will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with an experienced casting professional.

Actors will choose a monologue that most appropriately represents them. Monologues can be from film/television/theatre. Film/television monologues need to be from released projects. (i.e. Shows that have aired.) Monologues should be no more than 2 min. long. RSVP'd actors will receive a Google Hangouts invitation sent on the day of the class to participate. This class will occur on Google Hangouts.

About Ryan Bernard Tymensky
Ryan Bernard Tymensky works as a casting director for one of the largest bi-coastal casting offices in the nation, Telsey and Company. They are currently casting many major television, film, and Broadway/theatre projects. Ryan is a NY transplant. He relocated to L.A. 3 and a half years ago to help build the L.A. branch. Past projects by Telsey and Company include: Mary Poppins Returns, The Greatest Showman, RENT Live!, Atypical, Fosse/Verdon, I’m Dying Up Here, One Day at a Time, Graves, Grease Live!, Miss Sloane, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Focus, The Intern, Into The Woods, A Most Violent Year, and Ricky and the Flash. Some shows currently running on Broadway that Telsey and Company cast are Hamilton, Wicked, Waitress, Frozen and many more.

Agent Access with Eddie Rabon (SAG-AFTRA Foundation)

Apr 15, 2020 - 2:00 PM to 2:00 PM PDT

When: 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 15

This online class will provide feedback from an experienced agent. No more than 20 performers will be participating. 

We will be holding a 30 min. Q&A with Eddie via Google Hangouts on Wednesday at 5 p.m. (EST). After the Q&A you will film a scene under 2 min.

The Q&A will meet remotely. All RSVP'd members will receive a link inviting them to join the class at the time of check-in.

After the Q&A you will have until the deadline to rehearse, record, and upload a video containing your performance. You will upload the video using your YouTube account and email the video link. Finally, Eddie will review your workshop video and provided notes.

Scheduled Lab Online: Ask Any Tech Questions (SAG-AFTRA Foundation)

This is a great time to get things done and you might have a question or two that's keeping you from taking the next step. Perhaps you're picking up where you left off in one of our classes or trying to finish up your project or just trying to get a little confidence going, this is your chance to get help during this online forum where members will submit questions so that we can address them as efficiently as possible while at the same time helping as many of you as we can. We welcome all questions from all levels of experience.

Once you have signed up, you will be sent a link to submit your question(s).

Casting Access with Lindsay Jameyson (SAG-AFTRA Foundation)

When: 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 14

This online class will provide feedback from an experienced casting professional. No more than 20 performers will be participating. This class is open to beginners.

When a new Casting Access Online class is announced, eligible performers RSVP to request a space in the class and are added to the class on a first-come/first-served basis. Confirmed participants will be notified by e-mail.

April 14th is the day enrollment and cancellation close, your headshots are sent to the Casting Director, and the Live Q&A on Google Hangouts occurs. Participants will receive a Google Hangouts invitation the morning of the class. The live Q&A will begin at 5:00pm PST. After the Q&A scenes and instructions will be sent and actors will prepare their self-tapes. The self-tapes need to be sent in to castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation by 9:00am PST, April 17th.
