Audition for the SAG-AFTRA Radio Plays, taking place at the Autry Museum on Thursday, June 26. This show will feature the following radio plays:
- X Minus One: Mars is Heaven - A suspenseful episode of NBC’s X Minus One based on a 1948 Ray Bradbury story about Earth’s first mission to the mysterious red planet. Click here to listen to the radio show.
- The Birds - A family moves into a cottage on the desolate and bleak New England coast. In the dusk outside, waiting patiently, silently watching, is an enemy from whom there may be no escape. - Gunsmoke: Reward for Matt - A bitter widow homesteader has it out for Marshall Dillon. She's offering $1,000 for anyone who kills him. The consequences become dire when a 15-year-old takes her up on her offer. Click here to listen to the radio show.
Auditions will be open to all Los Angeles Local members in good standing. Please remember, this is RADIO. Looks are not considered, only the tenor, timber and expertise of your voice.

Parking: Please park in the garage off of Curson Ave. and bring your parking ticket for validation.
The performance will take place at the Autry Plaza at the Autry Museum of the American West in Griffith Park. If selected, your presence will be needed all day on Thursday, June 26. Other rehearsals will be scheduled around cast members’ availability.

Auditions are only open to active SAG-AFTRA L.A. Local members in good standing (paid through April 30, 2025).No guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.

If selected, more details will be provided for rehearsals. This is an unpaid stage performance of an Old Time Radio show presented to a live audience. Casting will be based on vocal quality and characterizations. We are committed to diverse and inclusive casting.
