Come join your fellow SAG-AFTRA members for a day of commemoration and celebration co-sponsored by the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO and the Tri-State Labor Day Parade Committee.
When: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 6
9 a.m.: Parade marchers gather at the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 Union Hall (1301 S. Columbus Blvd. and Washington Ave.)
9:15 a.m.: Pre-parade kickoff rally
10 a.m.: Parade march to Penn’s Landing Great Plaza (Columbus Blvd. and Market St.)
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Philadelphia AFL-CIO Family Celebration (food, refreshments, kids’ activities, make and take crafts, and live music)
Where: Sheet Metal Workers’ Local (gathering location)

This event is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing — guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome. SAG-AFTRA members, please bring your membership card or digital card from the app (paid through October 31, 2021) for admittance.

Regarding COVID-19: The CDC currently recommends avoiding large gatherings whenever possible. The Philadelphia Metropolitan Area is currently categorized as an area with a substantial transmission rate. The Department of Health recommends that Pennsylvanians refer to CDC guidance and recommendations regarding ongoing COVID-19 safety measures and procedures. These recommendations include: maintaining physical distancing of 6 feet apart for people not living in the same household and wearing a well-fitted face mask over the nose and mouth. The CDC also encourages vaccinations for individuals who are physically able to receive them- COVID-19 vaccines and Flu vaccines will be available on site along with representatives who can answer any questions surrounding the pandemic.
