This annual show, presented in partnership with Easterseals Disability Services, honors entertainment industry professionals who have advanced disability-related narrative and employment in fields of writing, producing, casting, performance and directing.
SAG-AFTRA Harold Russell Award presented at the Media Access Awards
Presented in recognition of Harold Russell, the first actor with a disability to receive an Oscar, this SAG-AFTRA award honors a professional performer, writer or other industry professional with a disability that has substantially contributed to the overall awareness of the disability experience through the media, thereby validating, strengthening, and enhancing the cultural heritage and pride of people with disabilities.

This SAG-AFTRA honor recognizes a SAG-AFTRA member with a disability, or an organization who has made a significant contribution in raising the visibility and awareness of disability issues in the broadcast, sound recording, and entertainment industries.
