It’s that time of year!  The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment is proud to present the popular summer concert series Broadway in the Boros.

The summer lunchtime concert series brings Broadway singers, dancers, actors and musicians to a park or open space in each of the outer boroughs. The FREE event takes place during the lunch hour so everyone can enjoy.

This year, there are multiple TONY-nominated shows in the line-up.

The Actors Fund and Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts* invite SAG-AFTRA members to come get your annual mammogram.

Patients are eligible for a screening mammogram if they:

• Are ages 40 and over
• Have not had a mammogram in the past year
• Have no signs or symptoms of breast disease 
• Are insured, underinsured, or uninsured

On the day of your appointment, bring:

• Identification
• Health insurance card (if applicable)
• Copies of past mammograms

The SAG-AFTRA NextGen Performers Committee presents a newly minted, monthly Game Night at the Kaufherr Center!

For the month of June, NextGen will be co-hosting Game Night with a special-guest team from CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY! Friends are welcome to join our members, so bring your plus ones or twos! It'll be an evening of snacks, fun, and community at the Kaufherr Center. Feel free to bring snacks of your own to share! Space is limited, so RSVP ASAP. Doors open at 5:30 and will close at 6!

The SAG-AFTRA San Francisco-Northern California Conservatory Presents: Voice coach Sally Clawson offering one-on-one training in this introductory voiceover workshop.

• Participants will be randomly selected from those who have registered online. Preference will be given to those who have not attended Conservatory events in the past 3 months.

• As a courtesy to members on the waiting list, if you have reserved a space in this workshop and cannot attend, please cancel your reservation before Friday, June 14. Failure to do so may result in the inability to attend future workshops.

• We appreciate your enthusiasm to participate in conservatory classes, anyone who shows up without receiving written confirmation will not be granted access to the class. If you arrive late, it is up to the discretion of the teacher as to whether or not you will be admitted.

• There is no charge for this event.

Sally Clawson, owner of Voice One Training, has over 20 years of experience as a voice teacher, speech coach, actor, and performer. A former professional dancer, Ms. Clawson toured internationally with the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company. After a hip injury, she took a day job answering phones, discovered her voice, and began studying at Voice One.

Sally now teaches classes and workshops in voice, acting, presenting and performing all over the Bay Area, including Berkeley Repertory School of Theater, Google Arts, and California Shakespeare Theater. In addition, Sally is a certified executive coach through the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and is the annual emcee at the Dreamforce conference hosted by Salesforce.

Sally’s voiceover performances include: Yoplait, Clorox, Toyota, Old Navy, McDonalds, Pixar, Apple, Google, Microsoft, EA Games, Telltale Games and Lucas Film to name a few.

This workshop is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing — no guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome. SAG-AFTRA members, please bring your membership card or your digital card on your app for admittance, paid thru Oct. 31, 2019.

SAG-AFTRA Miami Local invites you and up to three (3) family members to our next picnic in Central Florida.  Come join fellow SAG-AFTRA members for a day of fun and games. Free pizza, snacks and soda will be provided and the swimming pool will be available for use.

Feel free to bring your outdoor games to share and enjoy with your colleagues and your bathing suit/towel if you want to take a dip in the pool.

The park charges an entrance fee of $2.00/car (1 person) and $4.00/car (2 or more occupants)

Upon arrival at the front gate, the park Staff will direct you to the sun shelter reserved for the SAG-AFTRA picnic.  Due to the limited amount of seating at the sun shelter, it is suggested that you bring your own portable outdoor chairs.  Please be advised that alcoholic beverages are prohibited at this park.

This event is for SAG-AFTRA members in good standing and their family members only.
