Here’s your chance to brush up on your audition skills as the industry begins to reopen! Join host SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President Rebecca Damon and veteran character actor David Dean Bottrell for a primer on impressive auditions to help you nail your next opportunity.
David Dean Bottrell (Modern Family, The Blacklist) joins us to offer innovative and insightful tips on how actors can make the most of an audition, whether self-taped or in the room. Bottrell offers 10 highly creative, yet practical approaches on how to prepare sides, work with ‘bad readers,’ overcome nerves and make a solid impression every time you audition. Bottrell has taught scene study, acting for the camera and audition workshops for the UCLA Professional Acting Program, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (New York and L.A.) and the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory.
