The Seattle 48 Hour Horror Film Project is coming to the Seattle Local and SAG-AFTRA has it covered. Members are able to participate in productions whose team leader has signed the Short Film Agreement as modified by the 48HFP Rider.
This year’s contest dates in Seattle are Oct. 11-13. The final deadline for teams to register is Oct. 11.
Film teams compete to make a short film in only a weekend. More than a dozen awards are given, from Best Acting to Best Film. The Best Film winner from each city screens at the 48HFP annual international film festival — Filmapalooza — where a Grand Champion of the Year is awarded. Many films screen at festivals around the world, and 48HFP has a partnership with the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner to screen selected films.
Get connected with a team in your local or start your own team! It’s a chance to get new material for your reel, network, and see your work on the big screen — maybe even in France!
