Los Angeles (July 20, 2017) – SAG-AFTRA today released the official rosters of candidates for its upcoming elections. National president and secretary-treasurer positions are up for election, both of which carry two-year terms. 40 national board seats are up for election this year, along with all local officer, local board, and convention delegate positions. The executive vice president and other vice presidents will be elected at the SAG-AFTRA Convention in October.

Los Angeles and New York (July 15, 2017) – The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) National Board of Directors met today in a one-day videoconference plenary and approved the tentative agreement reached with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, on July 4 at 6 a.m. PT. With the board’s approval, the deal now goes to the union’s membership for ratification.

LOS ANGELES (May 30, 2017) — In a joint statement issued today, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) announced they will commence negotiations on successor agreements to the SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical contracts on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. The talks will take place at AMPTP headquarters in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

CHICAGO (May 4, 2017) — SAG-AFTRA members at broadcast television stations WEEK and HOI News in East Peoria, Ill., are celebrating after SAG-AFTRA settled an unfair labor practice charge against Quincy Media, Inc., which operates both stations. The settlement will result in salary adjustments for two current employees and back pay awards for several current and former members.

The settlement also avoids a formal hearing on the unfair labor practice charge that was scheduled to be held at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) offices in Peoria on Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES (April 23, 2017) --- The SAG-AFTRA National Board, meeting this weekend in Los Angeles at SAG-AFTRA Plaza, voted to set election and governance rules for the upcoming national convention. The board also established a negotiating committee for the upcoming contract talks with Telemundo and unanimously approved a successor agreement covering music video performers with the major record labels.

LOS ANGELES (April 21, 2017) — SAG-AFTRA today announced that it had reached a tentative agreement with the major record labels — Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and Disney Music Group— for a successor to their industry-wide contract covering dancers and other performers on music videos. The original agreement was approved in June 2012.
