CSS Description We, the undersigned digital employees of New York Public Radio, are proud to announce our decision to unionize with SAG-AFTRA. As reporters, producers and digital professionals, we are privileged to work in a newsroom committed to engaging and informing communities through high-quality journalism and meaningful storytelling. As digital employees, we are adept at telling these stories creatively, nimbly, and collaboratively, and we are passionate about delivering our work to a growing audience of public media listeners and readers. We are organizing our union to have a united voice to address labor issues including hours of work, uncompensated work, benefits, and fair wage increases. Together we can create conditions at New York Public Radio that will ensure all our voices are heard and improve our collective work. We therefore choose SAG-AFTRA as our union for the purposes of collectively negotiating our pay, benefits and working conditions. We request that you recognize this petition as demonstration that SAG-AFTRA represents a majority of employees in a unit appropriate for collective bargaining, and that you meet and confer with us in good faith to begin the collective-bargaining process.
