The SAG-AFTRA New York Broadcast Steering Committee (NYBSC) would like to invite you to join us for our first ever Broadcaster Happy Hour!

Take a break from the busy news cycle and build community and solidarity with your union colleagues. New York broadcast members will be joined by SAG-AFTRA leaders and board members. We hope this will be an opportunity to get to know your fellow SAG-AFTRA broadcast members as well as local leaders. 

Appetizers at the event will be provided by SAG-AFTRA with a no-host cash bar available.

RSVP: This event will take place in a semi-private space, and capacity is limited. Reservations are required. Please complete form below to RSVP. Please note that you must be logged in to RSVP. 

This event is only open to active SAG-AFTRA members in good standing (paid through April 30, 2025 or Oct. 31,2025). No guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.

ADA requests may be included on your RSVP form below. Please note that ADA requests must be received 72 hours before the start of the event. Accessibility note: This event is on the second floor and up one flight of stairs.

SAG-AFTRA Women in Broadcast Brunch

The SAG-AFTRA New York Broadcast Steering Committee, chaired by ABC Radio’s Cheri Preston, would like to invite you to join us for a Women in Broadcast Brunch. New York women in broadcasting will be joined by SAG-AFTRA leaders and board members. We hope this will be an opportunity to sit down, get to know each other, and discuss women’s leadership in the changing landscape of the broadcast industry. The brunch will be sponsored by SAG-AFTRA and is free for members. All members who identify as women are welcome to attend.

Where: Location in Manhattan will be emailed upon registration.

Understanding Your Personal Services Contract Seminar

SAG-AFTRA's Seattle Local Board invites you to a seminar on understanding your personal services contract for broadcasters. 
 
Broadcasters frequently have questions about their individual employment contracts, including: Am I really subject to this non-competition agreement? Does my confidentiality clause include talking to my union rep, agent or spouse? What are liquidated damages? How does my personal contract interact with the union contract? What resources does the union provide when I have questions or am renegotiating my contract? All this and more will be discussed at the seminar, along with any other questions you may have.
