The San Francisco-Northern California Local Conservatory is proud to announce the launch of the SAG-AFTRA Screenplay Reading Series! This program is a new initiative open to SAG-AFTRA members and Bay Area writers/filmmaking teams that have a complete script they intend to produce. The SF-NC Conservatory Committee has accepted nine new works for table reads at the SAG-AFTRA office in downtown San Francisco to be held over the year.
This event is only open to active SAG-AFTRA San Francisco-Northern California members in good standing (paid through April 30, 2025) and one registered guest. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.
ADA requests may be included on your RSVP form below. Please note that ADA requests must be received 72 hours before the start of the event.
You are invited to the SAG-AFTRA San Francisco-Northern California Local hybrid membership meeting. About Our Guest Speakers:
Franco Finn is best known for his role as “Warriors Hype Man” and TV personality for NBA Champs Golden State Warriors. Franco has worked on projects that span SAG-AFTRA contracts from commercials to interactive to news and broadcast. He promotes Film Local through his work as a San Francisco Film Commissioner at SF Film.
Rich Ting is known for his memorable roles in Paramount+'s Tulsa King Season 2, Netflix's Partner Track, HBO Max's Warrior and Amazon Prime's The Man In the High Castle. Rich will join Franco to talk about his accomplishments, the determination it took to get where he is today and what SAG-AFTRA membership means to him.
SAG-AFTRA Vice President, Broadcasters and long-time local SF-NorCal member leader Bob Butler will report on the recent National Broadcast Safety Summit, modeled after the Northern California safety summits Bob was instrumental in establishing.
