Miami Local 2023 TV/Theatrical W&W Meeting

The SAG-AFTRA Miami Local will be conducting a Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) meeting in preparation for the 2023 Producer–SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement and the SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement (collectively, the “TV/Theatrical Contracts”) Negotiations. The TV/Theatrical Contracts expire June 30, 2023.

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up* SAG-AFTRA members.

The meeting dates and times for the general Miami Local W&W meetings are listed below.  Please check your email and Miami Local webpage for any additional meetings.

WHEN: January 11, 2023, 2 p.m. ET

WHERE: Meetings will be held by Zoom. You must have a Zoom account that identifies you by name to participate.  RSVP below. You must be logged in to see the RSVP form below. 

If you cannot attend a W&W meeting or caucus, please make sure your voice is heard. You may submit proposal recommendations by email at tvtheatrical2023@sagaftra.org. Recommendations must be received by Friday, January 27, 2023.

Self-Taping Meeting for Regional Members

You are invited to join a regional member informational meeting to discuss self-taped auditions for Atlanta, Miami and Nashville Locals. The National Board has recently appointed a National Self-Tape Committee to explore and consider ways to address the self-tape process. This topic has significant relevance to our actor/performer members and this is an opportunity to provide important feedback for the committee’s consideration.

SAG-AFTRA national constituency groups and locals across the country will be conducting wages and working conditions (W&W) meetings in the coming weeks in preparation for the TV/Theatrical Contracts negotiations. The TV/Theatrical Contracts expire June 30, 2023. Miami Local 2022 Membership Meeting

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA Miami Local members for the 2022 Miami Local Virtual Membership Meeting. 

Broward Film Commissioner Sandy Lighterman will be on hand to discuss the new Film Lauderdale Film/TV Incentive Program and new studios that are being built in Fort Lauderdale.

You’ll also have an opportunity to learn and ask questions of elected Miami Local representatives and staff.

When: 7-8:30 pm ET, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022

Where: Meeting will be held by Zoom. You must have a registered Zoom account to participate.

Unpacking “Boxed”- A Conversation About Independent Low Budget Film in Florida

The Miami Local is proud to present an educational panel on the life cycle of a short film created under SAG-AFTRA’s short project agreement. This ev will unpack the project from idea to screen and everything in-between with an emphasis on how SAG-AFTRA interacted with the cast and crew during the pandemic.  The presentation will culminate in a screening of the 13-minute short film Boxed.
