Project: Dark Space

Synopsis: Dark Space is a short film that asks the question: "If you had unlimited time to perfect yourself, would you still know who you are?" Kieran, a struggling college student, stumbles upon a mysterious space where he can do anything he wants and no time will pass outside. With this newfound power, he becomes an ideal student and wins over his crush. But overtime, he begins to lose touch with reality—and himself.
Seeking Actors Able to Portray:
Kieran – male, age range 18-26. A stressed-out, introverted college sophomore struggling to meet the expectations of his parents while connecting with his crush, Cassie. Firmly believes in problem-solving through time and planning. Please list any cool skills you have for the purposes of a comedic montage – no matter how niche!
Cassie – female, age range 18-26. A gentle and witty college sophomore whose extraversion masks a feeling of loneliness. Haunted by the guilt of her older sister’s death, she leans into her art as a search for redemption.
Mr. Carr – supporting, male, age range 35-65. A demanding yet caring professor, Mr. Carr wants to see his students excel. Kieran’s sudden academic improvement raises suspicions, raising fatherly concerns as he watches Kieran’s physical state deteriorate.
