Production: I Love You Mami

Seeking principal actors able to portray:
- Ramón “Moncho” a 21 year old Puerto Rican male, who hates going to college for biology because he and wants to be a chef. He lives a lifestyle between lower and middle class but he himself is unemployed. He feels that his mother is too hard on him and does not love or appreciate him. He is very sarcastic, pessimistic and an ambivert.
- Mami “Mom” is a 55 year old Puerto Rican woman, who maintains her household. She wants her son Moncho to become a doctor to help their family get out of their average lives. She only has a high school education as she got pregnant with Moncho at a young age and his father walked away on her, making her a single parent. She hates when no one listens to her at home or when she is disrespected therefore throwing her flip flop (chancla) at her kids.
- Evelyn is a 19 year old Puerto Rican girl, who is Moncho’s sister and Mami’s daughter. She is going to college for psychology and is doing well in school. She has straight A’s always and makes sure that Moncho knows it well by bothering Moncho and playing innocent. She is feminine, gorgeous and constantly worried about looking good. She is also generous to her community and works really hard to accomplish her dreams.
- Granpa Jimmy is a 78 year old Puerto Rican man, who is Mami’s father and Moncho’s grandfather. He used to be a hard working family man but after his wife’s death he lives with his daughter and has been retired for quite some time. He spends his time either watching TV or doing manual house work for his daughter. He does not get involved with Mami’s way of parenting and just prefers to help her when he is asked. He likes to criticize political agendas and actions of the government. For some reason when he complains he does it loud enough that it can be heard from outside his house.
