Lost Landscapes of New York, 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12
This program mixes home movies by New Yorkers, tourists and semi-professional cinematographers with outtakes from feature films and background “process plates” picturing granular details of New York’s cityscape, spanning much of the 20th century. The soundtrack will be provided by the audience and by host Rick Prelinger, who has presented similar urban history film programs in San Francisco (where it plays regularly to sold-out crowds at the Castro Theater), Detroit and Los Angeles.
