What is SAG-AFTRA?

SAG-AFTRA represents approximately 160,000 actors, announcers, broadcasters journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers, voiceover artists and other media professionals. SAG-AFTRA members are the faces and voices that entertain and inform America and the world. With national offices in Los Angeles and New York, and local offices nationwide, SAG-AFTRA members work together to secure the strongest protections for media artists into the 21st century and beyond

What services does SAG-AFTRA offer members?

Where can SAG-AFTRA members check on residuals?

Use our online Residuals Tracker in the Member Services area of our site (must be logged in as a SAG-AFTRA member to access) or call Residuals Payment information at (800) 205-7716 or (323) 549-6505. For additional information, visit the Residual section.

How do I become a performer?

How can SAG-AFTRA members update membership records or check dues?

Update your contact information using the forms available in the Document Library (must be logged in as a member to access this page). Update your agency contact information in the Member Services section.

Can I have permission to use your logo?

SAG-AFTRA does not allow unauthorized use of SAG-AFTRA registered marks including on websites and e-mail addresses except to the extent use is authorized by federal law.

If I discover that a SAG-AFTRA member did non-union work, what should I do?

Contact the Legal Department at (323) 549-6627.

How do I join SAG-AFTRA?

How can I find out if I'm auditioning for a SAG-AFTRA, AFTRA or SAG project?

I'm a producer or journalist. How can I contact SAG-AFTRA performers?

To gain access to performer contact information for employment purposes only, you can create an online account on SAG-AFTRA’s iActor system.  This no-cost, 24/7 online service is for work opportunities only. (It is not available for fan-based inquiries). Industry professionals may register for access to this free service by logging on to http://www.sagaftra.org/production-center/actors and following the registration prompts located in the upper right hand corner of the home page or by completing the attached for and sending it to casting@iactor.org. Thank you for your interest in iActor.

How can I find a current or former SAG-AFTRA member?

Due to limited resources and privacy concerns, we are not able to help the general public locate family members or friends who are current or former SAG-AFTRA members.

If you believe residual payments are due or have estate information regarding a current or former SAG member, please contact the SAG Residuals Department at (323) 549-6505 or (800) 205-7716.

Unfortunately, we are not able to forward messages, scripts or fan mail to members or their agents.

How can I volunteer my services?

Volunteer opportunities for SAG-AFTRA members include:
