I am saddened to report that New York Local President Mike Hodge passed away suddenly on Saturday.

Beyond being the elected leader of our local and a board member with 16 years of service, Mike was a towering presence in our community. He was a powerful unionist, a remarkable leader, and more than anything a great friend, colleague and mentor.

There are a variety of ways in which a member can serve the union. Local committee service is a great way to lend your talents, experience and knowledge of the industry to benefit the union and its members.

If you are interested in serving your union on a local committee, you are encouraged to complete the online New York Local Committee Service Request Form, where a list of the SAG-AFTRA New York Local committees is provided.
