Screen Actors Guild Celebrates Independent Television at ITVFest

Screen Actors Guild was a sponsor of the 5th Annual Independent Television Festival, held July 30 - August 5 at Laemmle’s Sunset 5 in Los Angeles.

ITVFest is a non-profit organization with the mission of encouraging change in conventional television and the growth of artistic expression in television and new media.

This year’s festival, with the broadest and most diverse programming line-up to date, included a number of SAG signatory new media productions including A Good Knight’s Quest, Gold, Solo – The Series and Octane Pistols of Fury, which took home the award for best web series.

In addition to the screenings, attendees had the opportunity to learn from working professionals in the independent TV and new media spaces at a variety of daily themed panels, including a panel on casting with SAG’s Director of Organizing Nayla Wren and a new media discussion with SAG New Media’s Maria Timpani.

Screen Actors Guild is proud to support independently produced TV, film and new media projects, and of the contribution SAG performers lend to the quality of these productions. We look forward to continuing to support organizations such as ITVFest in the future.
