The Actors Fund held its 14th annual Tony Awards party at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles on June 13, with Broadway superstar Tommy Tune serving as host. SAG President Ken Howard attended the event along with SAG National Board Members Adam Arkin, Jeff Austin, Scott Bakula, L Scott Caldwell and Pamela Reed, as well as SAG Hollywood Executive Director Ilyanne Morden Kichaven and Communications Executive Director Pamela Greenwalt.

Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell  received the Actors Fund's Julie Harris Award, which was presented to him by actor Annette Bening. Bening has known Mitchell since their days at Patrick Henry High School in San Diego.

The award recognizes not only Mitchell's theatrical accomplishments, but also his leadership as Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund. "Chairman Mitchell’s leadership helps ensure that The Fund achieves its mission of providing help and support to everyone working in the performing arts and entertainment. A mission they achieve day in and day out.," Howard told the audience who watched the Tony Awards via a live feed from New York.  "Over the years, fund assistance programs have delivered critical services to tens of thousands of people in crisis or significant need – many of them Screen Actors Guild members."
