LOS ANGELES (Sept. 29, 2010) --- The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA, AFL-CIO) today discovered and immediately notified members who joined the union through its online website portal, called Join Online, that computer hackers unlawfully accessed the join online system on Sept. 14, and that confidential information, including credit card and social security numbers, may have been stolen. AFTRA immediately shut down the join online website portal and notified the state and federal authorities, as well as the credit reporting bureaus.

Los Angeles (September 24, 2010) – In a joint statement issued today, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) announced they will commence negotiations on successor agreements to the AFTRA Exhibit A (Primetime TV) and SAG TV/Theatrical contracts on Monday, September 27, 2010. Los Angeles (September 1, 2010) - Screen Actors Guild mourns the loss of former SAG National Executive Director Ken Orsatti, who passed away Tuesday at the age of 78 of pulmonary disease at West Hills Hospital in West Hills, Calif. Orsatti served as national executive director from 1981 through the beginning of 2001. During his tenure as NED, Orsatti also served as the Guild’s chief negotiator, a period that saw dramatic expansion of the union’s contracts and record setting earnings for its members. He was a SAG employee since 1961.Read More
