Los Angeles (August 4, 2011) – Screen Actors Guild today released the official list of candidates for its upcoming national officer and national board elections. National president and national secretary-treasurer positions are up for election, both of which carry two-year terms. Approximately 1/3 of the total 69 national board seats are open for election this year.

LOS ANGELES (July 15, 2011) – The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, AFL-CIO – a national union of more than 70,000 performers, recording artists and broadcast professionals – today announced the ratification of a new agreement with videogame industry representatives on terms for a new 3 1/2 year AFTRA Interactive Media Agreement, covering AFTRA members who work in videogames. The previous contract expired on June 30, 2011.

Read MoreLOS ANGELES (June 23, 2011) — The National Nominating Committee of the Screen Actors Guild completed interviews and deliberations and have submitted current SAG President Ken Howard and current SAG Secretary-Treasurer Amy Aquino for the positions of President and Secretary-Treasurer respectively for the Guild’s upcoming National Fall election.

LOS ANGELES (June 9, 2011) – The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, AFL-CIO – a national union of more than 70,000 performers, recording artists and broadcast professionals – today announced that it has reached a tentative agreement with videogame industry representatives on terms for a new 3 1/2 year AFTRA Interactive Media Agreement, covering AFTRA members who work in videogames. Los Angeles (June 8, 2011) - Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists announced today that members have approved three-year successor agreements to the AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Non Broadcast/Industrial/Educational Recorded Material and the SAG Industrial and Educational Contract.
Overall, the memberships of SAG and AFTRA voted 95 percent to 5 percent in favor of the new agreement.
