Los Angeles (August 4, 2011) – Screen Actors Guild today released the official list of candidates for its upcoming national officer and national board elections. National president and national secretary-treasurer positions are up for election, both of which carry two-year terms. Approximately 1/3 of the total 69 national board seats are open for election this year.

Agreement includes new, industry-exclusive streaming fee for ‘cloud gaming’

LOS ANGELES (July 15, 2011) – The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, AFL-CIO – a national union of more than 70,000 performers, recording artists and broadcast professionals – today announced the ratification of a new agreement with videogame industry representatives on terms for a new 3 1/2 year AFTRA Interactive Media Agreement, covering AFTRA members who work in videogames. The previous contract expired on June 30, 2011.

LOS ANGELES (July 15, 2011) – Members of the Peoria Local of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, AFL-CIO – a national union of more than 70, 000 broadcast professionals, recording artists and performers – will launch a Twitter campaign today in conjunction with its “Day of Reckoning” rally for WEEK/WHOI-TV member employees.

The rally will be held at 5:00 p.m. CST at the United Auto Workers Local 974 located at 3025 Springfield Road, East Peoria, next to the WEEK/WHOI-TV station headquarters.

Community Rally to be Held on Friday, July 15

Peoria, Ill. LOS ANGELES (June 23, 2011) — The National Nominating Committee of the Screen Actors Guild completed interviews and deliberations and have submitted current SAG President Ken Howard and current SAG Secretary-Treasurer Amy Aquino for the positions of President and Secretary-Treasurer respectively for the Guild’s upcoming National Fall election.    
 
Eligible Candidates can still qualify for the September elections by completing nominating petitions and filing them with the Guild no later than 5pm (PDT) on July 21.

AFTRA and SAG Convene Formal Discussions to Create One Union
