Only child of legendary cinema star Boris Karloff shares memories of 'Daddy'

A lifesize bronze statue of Frankenstein's monster is hard to miss at the entryway of a Rancho Mirage home.

Inside, the theme carries through. A concrete, greenish colored bust of Boris Karloff's legendary character, “the monster,” appears to watch over the living room from a prominent spot on a wall-length bookshelf. It sits amidst books on horror films and not far from a bust of Imhotep, another classic Karloff character.
