Dear Fellow SAG Member:
Right now, more than 140,000 American troops are deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, spending the holidays far away from home. Connecting with their loved ones by phone will make all the difference at this special time, and I'm asking you to join me in helping them do just that.
Screen Actors Guild has teamed up with Project: Hollywood Cares to offer the "A Touch of Home From Hollywood" program that will turn our members’ tax-deductible donations into international telephone calling cards for the troops that need them most. Because the cards will indicate that they are gifts from members of the Screen Actors Guild, the recipients will have the added pleasure of knowing that the performers they enjoy so much are thinking about them too.
Your representatives on the National Board have already committed to making significant personal contributions, and encourage you to join them in helping bring the holidays to our women and men in uniform. Supporting this outstanding program couldn't be easier — just visit SAG.org and click on the "A Touch of Home From Hollywood" icon, or go to www.projecthollywoodcares.org. Your gift will be processed using your credit card or PayPal account and a secure online payment system. Be sure to add "A Gift from a SAG Member" in the gift options message area. Contributions will be accepted through December 31, 2010.
You can also make your contribution via personal check, made payable to Project: Hollywood Cares and send to:

Your donation of $100, $50, or whatever you can manage will help give our troops a chance to connect with their spouses, children, parents and other family members or friends over the holidays. I hope you will join me and your Board of Directors in showing our gratitude for the service and sacrifice of our nation's military personnel and their families by giving them "A Touch of Home From Hollywood" this holiday season.
With gratitude and best wishes for a joyful Thanksgiving,
