Final SAG Awards ballot information postcards were mailed to eligible members on December 30. To be eligible to receive a ballot, your Nov. 2010 dues (and any address changes) must have been made by December 16. In continuing our green initiative, we are encouraging members to vote online. Online voting instructions and your PIN to vote on-line are listed on your voting information postcard. Members who do not wish to vote online and would like to request a paper ballot may call Integrity Voting Systems at (877) 610-8637 before 5 p.m. PT on Jan. 14 and a hard ballot will be mailed to you. If you return your ballot via U.S. post, you may not vote online. All ballots must be received by Integrity Voting Systems by noon PT, on January 28.
Every year we work with the studios to provide you with opportunities to view nominated films. The options for each film are reviewed by the studios who make the individual marketing plans for their films, as some films are no longer in wide release, others are available on DVD, and still others have just opened. We have received questions from members as to why you can't just bring your SAG card to a local movie theater, as members of other organizations are able to do. The answer is that the SAG membership is much larger than any of the other groups.  Because of that, special arrangements must be made to accommodate the size of our national membership. As a result, some studios may elect to provide screenings, send out DVDs, or participate in Movie Cash or, this year, stream their films online via iTunes (details below).
We have confirmed the following DVD screeners are being mailed to members this year (please note only those members eligible to vote will receive DVDs):

DVDs are being mailed to you from our Guild mailing house as quickly as possible. Please be patient. They should reach your mailbox this week or next. Please protect the DVDs sent to you as piracy is serious issue.
The following films are being offered to you through downloadable Movie Cash coupons, which can be redeemed at your local theater: THE FIGHTER, THE KING’S SPEECH and TRUE GRIT. Only members eligible to vote will be able to download coupons. Your individual movie code is printed at the top of the address box on your voting information postcard, below your individual online voting PIN outlined in red. The movie code number will allow you to go to a special Movie Cash web page that has been set up for eligible SAG members to download coupons for selected films offered by the studios. Please note: Your code is valid for one time use only. When you visit the Movie Cash website you will need to make all of your title selections and be prepared to print out all of your coupons at one time. Your code will not work a second time. The coupons are valid at participating theaters only. You can find a listing of participating theaters on the Movie Cash website.

For the first time, SAG members can screen three films as free HD movie rentals on iTunes. Fox Searchlight Films’ 127 HOURS, BLACK SWAN and CONVICTION will be available on iTunes as a free download redeemable by using a unique iTunes download code for each film. You can access your download codes by visiting a special Fox Searchlight website page for SAG members. The films can be viewed on an iPad, Mac or PC, or on an HDTV with Apple TV.
All details on iTunes, Movie Cash, DVDs and screenings can be found on our website at Please continue to check this page often over the next few weeks as we will update regularly.
