“Building Your Voice for Endurance” - Presented by Chrissellene Petropoulos

“Building Your Voice for Endurance” - Presented by Chrissellene Petropoulos
Start: 11/11/2013 - 7:00pm
End: 11/11/2013 - 9:00pm

This workshop is about the function of your breathing and vocal production. If you experience tension, hoarseness, lack of projection or range flexibility in your voice, speaking or singing, Chrissellene's 10-Command steps will teach you how to strengthen and build your voice. This will give you control and consistency no matter your age, experience or performing style.

This information is based on her scientific evidence-based research from her book: The 10 Technical Commands to Vocal Mastery TM.  There will be brief MRI videos showing you, speaking and singing;  correct and incorrect use of the voice and the ramifications of misuse, lack of airflow and constriction of the throat and contraction of palate areas.

In addition Chrissellene will show you the ramifications on the voice when you experience nerves,  and lack of confidence. What do you think happens to your voice when you are scared or nervous? Fear has to be replaced with confidence. Knowing you have a strong functioning voice gives you the confidence and replaces fear.  Please come prepared to do your dialogue, monologue or sing.

Location: Chrissellene Petropoulos' studio in Potomac, MD

When: 7-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11

Coordinator: Pete Papageorge
