UTAH FILM COMMISSION SEEKS FILM MEMORABILIA FOR DISPLAY AT CAPITOL

UTAH FILM COMMISSION SEEKS FILM MEMORABILIA FOR DISPLAY AT CAPITOL

The Utah Film Commission has announced that it has been given the opportunity to create an exhibit at the Utah State Capitol to educate the public on the significance of Utah’s rich motion picture and television heritage.

In order to effectively achieve this, the commission is asking help from the film industry including Utah SAG-AFTRA members. Specifically they are calling for original memorabilia used in connection with movies filmed in Utah, such as:

- small props

- scripts

- photos

- small costume pieces

Due to the size of the display, they cannot accept any large pieces, such as:

- furniture

- full size automobiles

- full costumes

- posters

All items will be on loan to the Capitol Preservation Board through the Utah Film Commission and displayed in a case on the 4th floor of the Utah State Capitol. Unless permanently donated, all items will be returned to the owner at the close of the exhibit and will be accessible to the owner at any time by contacting the commission office.

If you have or know of any items that might be available for the display, please contact Rebecca Whitney at beccawhitney@utah.gov or call the Utah Film Commission at (801) 538-8740.
