Last year, Oregon recruited a record-breaking $130 million in media production projects with our film incentive, known as the Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF). This year, Governor Kitzhaber has recommended to the Oregon Legislature that we double OPIF so we can recruit twice as much business into our state.
In coalition with the Oregon Media Production Association, IATSE, NBC, Electric Entertainment, and others, we’re organizing a huge industry lobby day this year in Salem and we need your help. Thursday, May 2 we’ll be spending the whole day at the capitol. We have a bus leaving in Portland for your convenience. We will also be providing coffee and doughnuts in the morning and a sack lunch as well.
