6:00 – 6:15 MEET RICK MCKIDDY, the new North Region Executive who is now servicing the entire Philadelphia branch (including Pittsburgh). Previous to his employment with Screen Actors Guild, Rick had been a representative of the United Auto Workers International Union for more than three decades. Learn about Rick’s efforts to bring more SAG work to Pennsylvania.
6:15 – 7:00 MAKE-UP ARTIST and IATSE member, Jeannee Josefczyk, will demonstrate how to handle audition challenges, such as under-eye circles, skin break-outs, receding hairlines and more! Her credits include The Road, The Shelter, Out of my League, My Bloody Valentine, Shannon’s Rainbow, and the HBO minis series The Corner, for which she received an Emmy nomination.
7:15 -8:30 A PANEL DISCUSSION will include Amy Lamb of Lumiere Films, Jeremy Braverman, Assistant Professor of Point Park University’s Cinema and Digital Arts Program*, and Rick McKiddy. The topic will be “Keep One Home”, a plan that encourages local producers to keep more of their SAG commercial and industrial projects in their home state. *PPU’s students sign SAG contracts so bring your headshots and try to get into their game.
