The Philadelphia SAG-AFTRA Conservatory Invites you to "Unlock the Keys to a Powerful Audition" With Actor-Coach Karen Vicks

Karen Vicks will share key techniques to enable you to effectively find the real story inside the script; use the script to guide your character development; make powerful and authentic choices; and emotionally connect to a scene. Workshop attendees should bring a prepared 1-2 minute monologue. Through a lottery, several individuals will have an opportunity to deliver their monologue and receive coaching from Ms. Vicks.

About Karen Vicks:
Karen Vicks has established herself as one of Philadelphia’s finest actors and teachers. She is a longtime member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association. She has performed with The Philadelphia Theatre Company, Delaware Theatre Co., The Lantern Theatre, Act II Playhouse, Interact Theatre Co., Plays and Players, The Playpen New Play Development Series, Society Hill Playhouse, Freedom Theater, and Bushfire Theatre in Philadelphia. She also has performed in LA, NYC and the Baltimore/DC area, and was twice nominated for Barrymore Awards as "Best Actress,” "Best Supporting Actress" and was First Runner-Up for Philly Critic’s Choice Award as "Best Leading Actress". Her latest projects are Paranoia, a film with Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford; Permanent Collection with InterAct Theater; and Do No Harm, for NBC.
