Media Access Task Force and SAG-AFTRA National Performers with Disabilities Committee invite you to an exclusive Town Hall forum of the Media Access Task Force. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to get involved!
The Media Access Office was established in 1980 by the California Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and entertainment and media industry professionals who recognized the need to provide a liaison between the disability community and the media and entertainment industry.
Following the closing of the Media Access Office in 2012, a group of concerned individuals, advocates and organizations came together to hold an informational Town Hall Forum and have been meeting monthly ever since as the Media Access Task Force to continue pursuing strategic pathways to achieve the mission and objectives of the Media Access Office.
When: 2-3:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013
360 Madison Avenue, 14th Floor Leon Janney Boardroom
New York, NY 10017
(Entrance on 45th Street)
New York and Los Angeles offices will be connected via video conference
This is a unique opportunity to meet the Task Force members, and learn about current and ongoing efforts to further its mission and objectives. A variety of topics will be covered, all based on the primary responsibilities of the former Media Access Office, including: the Media Access Awards, Casting, Talent Development, Advocacy and Education, and Scholarships!
