Please join us for an evening of new work. John Yarbrough's screenplay Not My Beautiful Wife has been selected as the first dramatic work in a new reading series by the SAG Foundation. The reading will be directed by Jesse Michael Mothershed.

About Not My Beautiful Wife
When a major celebrity acting couple's marriage is on the brink and the man refuses to go into sex therapy to save it, they send his down-on-his luck brother and her assistant in to do the therapy for them. But when the brother and assistant fall in love during therapy, it's no longer clear where posing ends and reality begins.

John Yarbrough is a writer in New York City. His screenplay Not My Beautiful Wife was a choice of the Writers Guild of America East screenplay reading series, and was a second round finalist at the Austin Film Festival. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post and elsewhere. As an artist-in-residence with the Hudson Warehouse Theater Company from 2011 - 2012, he was co-director of its Writers A Go-Go reading series for new and emerging writers. As a producer at CNN he was on news teams that won Peabody and DuPont awards, and at ABC News he was a writer for Peter Jennings at World News Tonight. In Washington he served as press secretary to Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. A New Yorker for nearly two decades but a native Texan, he wishes the Big Apple had much better Tex Mex.
