As union young performers you are some of the most talented, intelligent, and driven young minds in the country. The mission of your performers’ unions and the state’s child performer labor laws is to protect you while you are working and also to make sure that you are well prepared for the future, be it in or out of the entertainment industry.
This is just the beginning of your careers, so what additional doors can be opened for you in the future by the skills you learn working in the industry now? Join SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association for this interactive and informative event that will include an entertainment industry career panel and a review of the recently adopted New York State Child Performer Regulations. You and a parent are invited to participate in this special event.
Light morning refreshments and a full lunch will be served.
RSVP: Reservations are required. Click here to RSVP. Both single and dual cardholders are invited to this event. Please include your membership number for each union of which you are a member. Please note, due to space limitations we can only accommodate one parent per young performer.
This meeting is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA and AEA members in good standing. Unfortunately, no guests allowed. Parents/guardians of younger performers under 18 years old are welcome. AEA MEMBERS, ALWAYS BRING YOUR EQUITY MEMBERSHIP CARD. SAG-AFTRA MEMBERS, PLEASE BRING YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD (paid through October 31, 2013) FOR ADMITTANCE.
