**This is an updated seminar where new information will be imparted**

SAG-AFTRA National Agency staff will hold a bi-coastal educational seminar on general service agreements, or GSAs (i.e. the contracts that some agents have been using to represent our members instead of the standard Legacy SAG agency contracts). These GSA contracts are signed outside of SAG-AFTRA’s protection, and it is imperative that members have a working knowledge of what these contracts say before signing them—your professional future and your income may depend on it. This educational seminar will be especially helpful to any member having trouble making sense of the complicated legal language contained in the GSAs that their agents have provided them.

We urge all SAG-AFTRA members to attend. The event will not be taped, nor will any kind of recording device be permitted. Please bring writing materials or a laptop with you in order to take extensive notes.

RSVP ESSENTIAL: Email agency@sagaftra.org and reference “SAG-AFTRA GSA Seminar-Reservation” in subject line and indicate you are participating from the New York Local. Members must have a valid SAG-AFTRA ID to be permitted entry to this event. Only those members who have received confirmation emails from SAG-AFTRA may attend, so please act quickly as seating is limited.

Questions about this event should be directed to the SAG-AFTRA Agency Department at (323) 549-6745. We look forward to seeing you on Monday, May 13, 2013. Any performer who has to cancel a reservation is required to notify SAG-AFTRA immediately so that members on the waiting list may be contacted. Failure to do so may affect your ability to attend future GSA seminars.
