A seminar for members who have questions about how personal managers work, and how to protect yourselves in those relationships.
SAG-AFTRA Professional Representatives Department will hold a bi-coastal educational seminar on the newly created Personal Manager Code of Ethics and Conduct (i.e. a voluntary agreement that interested personal managers/members can sign). Personal management contracts have always been outside of SAG-AFTRA’s protection, but this does not have to be the case anymore. This member-driven initiative is now available for all personal managers and members to use. Participating managers who sign on to the Code will have, for the first time, a more formalized relationship with SAG-AFTRA. Personal managers and members alike will enjoy the benefits (and protections) that come with affiliating with SAG-AFTRA. We invite you to come learn more about the agreement and how it can apply to, and protect, you in your relationship with your manager.
When: 3:30-5:30 p.m. ET, Friday, March 21
There is only one meeting, held concurrently in LA and NY (Members in New York will participate live, via videoconference).
Where: SAG-AFTRA – Boardroom
1900 Broadway, 5th Floor,
New York, NY 10023
(between 63rd and 64th streets)
The seminar will be conducted by the National Director/Senior Counsel of the Professional Representatives Department, Zino Macaluso in Los Angeles. Only members with valid SAG-AFTRA ID cards will be permitted entry to this event. No exceptions will be made. We strongly encourage all members who attend to bring a notepad and pen or a laptop with them to these meetings.
