R.I.P. to a dear friend and agent, Claudia Speicher of New Orleans Model & Talent Agency. Claudia represented thousands of actors over the 40+ years she advocated for local and regional talent and will be sorely missed. The SAG-AFTRA New Orleans Local sends out love to all who were touched by this wonderful and classy lady and especially to her sisters Bobbi and Melanie…we are sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to New Orleans.

Posted on behalf of the Louisiana Film and Entertainment Association.
Yesterday the Senate Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee deferred HB 696 by Rep. Jack Montoucet. The committee did this at the request of Rep. Montoucet. While it does not mean that we are in the clear, it is a very large hurdle for us to cross. We will continue to be vigilant and watch for any legislation which would do harm to our industry. We would ask for you to contact senators that you reached out to before the committee meeting to thank them for their support of the industry.Read More
Legislative Update: HB 696 - Film Friendly Legislation
Today the Louisiana House of Representatives amended HB 696 to a version that is acceptable by LFEA and will be moving on to the Senate. This version would remove any caps from the program and the across the board 10% cut.
Great job contacting your legislators. Your actions resulted in this major improvement to the bill!
