“Audition Preparation and Cold Reading Techniques”
A workshop with Laura Gardner

Laura is a fabulous teacher and if you’ve ever attended one of her classes you know this workshop is a not to be missed opportunity. The current slow period in the industry is also a great time to hone your skills and get ready for when things pick up again.

In this workshop performers will be working on:

•        How to enter and leave the room with your self-esteem intact
•        Discovering different ways to impact and take charge of the audition
•        Scene preparation from the pre-read to the producer’s session
•        Ego survival - how to enjoy the audition process
•        Discovering your "type" and how to overcome type-casting
•        How to bring your unique self to any role by taking creative risk
•        How to stop sabotaging yourself and overcome your fear

When: Saturday, February 21 and/or Sunday, February 22
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with lunch break

Members may be able to attend both workshops if interested; however you’ll be waitlisted for your second choice in order to give everyone a chance to attend at least one session.
